At Hilltop Tots, we work in partnership with families in order to provide the best possible childcare for our children, to ensure they learn, explore, have fun and reach their full potential.

At Hilltop Tots we pride ourselves on being able to build strong partnerships by communicating with parents/carers on their children's day to day activities and progress through Baby's Days and social media.

Childcare funding

Free funding options for 2, 3 and 4 year olds and 15 hours free childcare for all 3 - 4 year olds. You may be able to get up to 30 hours free childcare (1,140 hours per year, which you can choose how you take) if your child is 3 to 4 years old.

Safe Sleeping

We are committed to ensuring that every child in our care sleeps safely and comfortably. Our team follows clear, evidence-based safe sleep practices to create a secure environment for rest time, giving families peace of mind. We regularly review our procedures in line with current guidance and ensure all staff are trained to support safe sleeping at all times. Childcare fees and funding

Our fees

For a full day session 7:30am to 6pm: £60
For a morning session 7:30am-1pm: £41
For an afternoon session 1pm-6pm: £39
For a school day session 9am-3pm: £47
For funded places, meals and amenities are available for £5.00 for the session or you are welcome to bring meals.
For an additional hour: £12

15 hours free childcare for all 3 - 4 year olds

For all families in England
With 3 and 4-year-old children
15 hours of free childcare or early education for 38 weeks
A total of 570 hours per year, that you can use flexibly

Free childcare for 2-year-olds

You can get free childcare if you live in England and get one of the following benefits:

Income Support
income-based Job seeker’s Allowance (JSA)
income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
Universal Credit, and your household income is £15,400 a year or less after tax, not including benefit payments
tax credits, and your household income is £16,190 a year or less before tax
the guaranteed element of Pension Credit
the Working Tax Credit 4-week run on (the payment you get when you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)

Free childcare for 2-year-olds

2-year-olds can also get free childcare if they:

are looked after by a local authority
have a statement of special education needs (SEN) or an education, health and care (EHC) plan
get Disability Living Allowance
have left care under an adoption order, special guardianship order or a child arrangements order

3 - 4 Year old 30 hours free childcare

You may be able to get up to 30 hours free childcare (1,140 hours per year, which you can choose how you take) if your child is 3 to 4 years old.

You can get 30 hours free childcare at the same time as claiming Universal Credit, tax credits, childcare vouchers or Tax-Free Childcare.

Eligibility

If you are working You can usually get 30 hours free childcare if you (and your partner). There is a minimum earnings requirement to be able to access this funding.

You may still be eligible if your partner is working, and you get Incapacity Benefit, Severe Disablement Allowance, Carer’s Allowance or Employment and Support Allowance.

You can apply if you’re starting or re-starting work within the next 31 days.

Tax free childcare

How Tax Free Childcare works

For every £8 you pay into an online account, the government will add an extra £2, up to £2,000 per child per year

Eligibility

For working families, including the self-employed, in the UK
Earning under £100k and at least £139 per week (equal to 16 hours at the National Minimum or Living Wage) each
Who aren't receiving Tax Credits, Universal Credit or childcare vouchers
With children aged 0-11 (or 0-16 if disabled)

Hilltop Tots Day Nursery is an absolutely fantastic Nursery. Our daughter has come on so much since starting. Being born in lock down with a cleft palatte we were extremely nervous of handing her over for someone else to look after but the staff here made us feel so comfortable and at ease that we felt our daughter was safe here.

They go above and beyond looking after the children, and even now our little one needs extra help Grace and the team are eager to help and support to put the right help in place. We feel extremely lucky to find such a nursery that feels like another home for our little girl and also our grandchildren and our nephew that also go here so it goes to show just how fantastic they are!

Our parent app “Baby’s Days” allows you to track your child’s progress. We have a high staff to child ratio to ensure that our staff spend more time with our children forming strong bonds and working closely in partnership with our families so that we can provide the best possible individual care for our children and to encourage them to learn, explore, have fun and reach their full potential.
