Childcare jobs

• Be someone who demonstrates a mature attitude and who is experienced and focused on delivering excellent standards of care and early years education with a natural ability to work as part of a team.
• Hold or be prepared to undertake a minimum Level 3 relevant childcare qualification.
• Has minimum level 2 functional skills/GCSES C and above in English and Maths or willing to undertake qualifications.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures although training will be given.
• A full DBS check will be performed, Full PFA is necessary but can be arranged once started.
• Be enthusiastic, passionate and eager to learn

Essential Requirements:

• You must have the ability to make every child feel special.
• You must be able to laugh several times a day at jokes that are not always funny.
• You will be able to show overwhelming enthusiasm for random tricks performed throughout the day.
• You must feel comfortable leading an adult team whilst also taking instructions from a small child.
• The ability to sing in tune is not necessary; however the ability to sing out of tune in front of a crowd is essential.
• You must feel comfortable reading to a small audience and being able to withhold their attention by improvising voices on demand.
• You will possess the maths skills required to rapidly count the heads of numerous moving small people throughout the day and to test others on this amount.
• You can pretend to eat plastic meals with enthusiasm and your ability to cook a three course meal in a mud kitchen is unparalleled.
• You must be prepared to have lots of fun in the workplace with both the children, their families and the team. Laughter is contagious!
• Finally, you must be prepared to add love, happiness and your own personality to the team, the Early Years are the most important years of a child’s development and we must ensure that they are given the best possible start!
